Step 1: Configure Gmail Settings β
- Head over to your Gmail account.
- Navigate to
Settings

. - Click on the
Forwarding and POP/IMAP
tab. - Enable the following options:
Enable POP for all email
Enable IMAP
- Donβt forget to click

Step 2: Activate 2-Step Verification π
- If you're a Google Workspace admin, please enforce a Two-factor verification for your Organisation.
- For others, ensure that 2-step verification is turned on in your Google account.
Step 3: Generate an App Password ποΈ
- Go to your Google Account security settings at myaccount.google.com/u/S/security.
- In the search bar type
App passwords
- Enter
Email
for the app name
- Hit
Create
- Copy the provided password, which will replace your standard password for SMTP and IMAP server setup.
Step 4: Update Simply-B2B Account Settings π οΈ
- Head back to your Simply-B2B account.
- Go to Settings, Email Settings
- Click Add Email Account and choose Custom SMTP
- Choose Gmail Template
- Enter the necessary details:
- Username: Your email address.
- Password: The app password you just generated.
- SMTP and IMAP details are pre-filled in the form.
! If 2-factor authentication is not turned on, please turn it on and follow the steps above.
